Yuka Ferrell, Founder and Head Instructor of Seattle Abacus School

With over 12 years of experience in abacus education, Yuka Ferrell is dedicated to bringing the traditional art of the abacus to life in a modern educational setting.

Having trained students from beginner level to national competition stages, she combines deep expertise with a warm, encouraging teaching style.

“My goal is to help each student not only excel in abacus, but also discover the joy of learning and the confidence to pursue their dreams.”

Abacus Classes at Partner Schools

In addition to our regular classes,
Abacus School of Seattle offers abacus lessons at partner schools, including Pikake Pre-School and Suginoko Pre-School.

Our classes are tailored to each school’s environment and age group, focusing on building strong calculation skills, concentration,
and confidence through abacus learning.

Holding classes within familiar school settings allows children to feel comfortable and enjoy learning abacus from an early age.
